Google 購併 ImageAmerica
衛星影像已經不能滿足 Google 的好奇心了嗎…
剛看到新聞，Google 宣佈購併了一家做空照圖的公司 ImageAmerica；拍空照圖沒什麼特別的，但是要怎樣把拍下來的低空高解析度空照圖以正確的方式處理呈現 (orthographic photography，我想這指的是低空拍照會有角度問題，要處理過才能呈現出 從正上方看
的感覺) 則是 ImageAmerica 有專利的強項。讓我感興趣的是公告裡所說的 down the road
，畢竟以我看來 Google Maps 和 Google Earth 的圖都已經相當精細了，每條路也都很滿楚，Google 是打算要把路上行人頭上有幾根毛都數清楚了才罷休嗎 ? XD
