對 Google，你可以化被動為主動。

剛看到一篇報導，說 Google 推出了一項叫做 Google Sitemaps 的服務，只要網站管理員用 Google 定義的格式描述自己的網站並在 Google 上註冊的話，在你網站變動的時候就通知 Google，然後 Google 馬上就會過來抓資料。

這東西的感覺很像是 blog 界常見的 ping 的功能，但是野心似乎更大，想要一網打盡所有的網頁；而且他的格式號稱是採用 CC 授權，看來是想要把這規格推廣給其他的搜尋引擎。不過這格式看起來有點複雜，還好 Google 也是個狠角色，提供了自動產生器，是用 Python 寫的 (岔題一下，Google 好像很喜歡 Python，Gmail 應該也是用 Python 寫的)；我相信過不了多久就會出現各種語言的版本，搞不好各大 blog system 都會推出相關 plugin 了 :p

2005/06/04 Update : 剛看到這裡，也有人放出 Movable Type 的模板；另，台灣也有人做了一個。

2005/06/06 Update : 有人出了一個 WordPress Plugin 版，功能頗多，可惜只有 for 1.5 :~

化被動為主動, 網站管理者只要在網站上放置一個描述檔, 並告知 google 該檔案的 url, google 的機器人就會根據這個檔案得知網站近期的更動並抓取資料. 如果不會寫描述檔怎麼辦 ? 這邊有 python …
